Nine Months Underwater

To kick off our new “Journal” (a re-vamped version of our previous blog), The NO Society’s founder, Riley Dyck, tells her story of the first nine months after a stranger made a decision that impacted her life drastically.

Our hope for this new “Journal” is for it to be organized and intentional, like a magazine, with content such as essays, documentaries + short films, poetry and articles, that educate the public, and gives voice to the important and silenced community of survivors and those who seek to support them. We will have survivor stories on here still, as well as research papers, artworks and more. The public is welcomed to submit entries, or reach out to discuss collaboration, by filling out a form here.

* Please note that although this video is sensitized and was scripted to be a more mellow version of the story, it still contains references that may be difficult for some. This video was intended for those who have not encountered sexual violence, to help them understand the impact and consequences it has.*
