About The No Society - By Survivors, For Survivors
The No Society is Transforming
Survivor Support Across British Columbia
What Is The No Society?
The No Society started as a humble advocate for survivors of sexual violence, who would platform survivor’s voices, and walk with individuals through their healing journeys and interactions with justice systems. Over time, we learned from our community about what support is most needed — not just by individuals, but system‑wide.
From that learning, The Beacon was born.
How We Work
At The Beacon, our approach is trauma-informed, survivor-led, and flexible. We provide free, one-on-one survivor support sessions and resources to guide people through their recovery journey and interactions with systems.
We focus on:
One-on-one survivor support sessions tailored to individual needs
Guidance through recovery options and next steps
Accompaniment to hospital, police, or court when requested
Follow-up support to help navigate ongoing processes
Connection to community resources and practical help
Flexible session formats — in-person, virtual, or in safe public spaces
Reducing barriers by providing clear, actionable information
Every support session is confidential, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered, allowing individuals to move at their own pace. We meet people where they are and work with them to understand what kind of support will be most helpful.
We made you a video discussing why we created The Beacon!
What Is The Beacon?
The Beacon is designed to help survivors, families, employers, and service providers find everything they need to bridge gaps to healing and justice in one place.
It is made up by both our Chilliwack Office, as well as our Online Resource Hub.
